Description
Today, synthetic biology is clearly advancing beyond the confines and limitations of traditional genetic engineering. These advances have come about by increasingly leveraging big data and automation to rationally engineer viruses and cells with enhanced levels of sophistication, complexity, predictability, functionality, performance and robustness. All of these advancements are fundamentally changing the game in biotechnology and accelerating higher function and performance across a wide variety of applications. This session will examine these approaches and applications while discussing the related commercialization advantages and challenges.
