Description

If there is one issue that has vexed almost all stakeholders in the Pharmaceuticals space it is undoubtedly Drug Pricing , the salience of which doesn’t seem to be abating any time soon. Each year several new medicines hit the market with prices that run into hundreds of thousands of dollars. This causes fresh waves in already choppy waters. Several developing countries have made cheaper medicines as the main plank for improving access. While drug developers point out to the increasing costs of novel drug development, many others argue that the real cost is far less. Some governments in the developing world rationalize that drug prices should be much lower than what the developers are charging. Panelists from the public and private sector organizations will try and find an acceptable solution to balance various perspectives.
