Samantha Miller, MS, MBA, joined InCarda in 2014 and currently serves as SVP, Corporate and Business Development. InCarda is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pioneering a novel approach of treating cardiovascular conditions by the inhalation route. She leads the company’s initiatives on corporate strategy, fundraising, technology licensing, and partnering. Samantha is concurrently chief operating officer and co-founder for Cadence Health, an OTC women’s health company.
Samantha has focused her entrepreneur-style career on building new biopharmaceutical companies from an early stage. With more than two decades of diverse experience, she has led negotiations for more than fifty licensing & partnering agreements with a total deal value of over $2 billion, and led more than ten equity financing rounds to completion.
Prior to InCarda and Cadence, Samantha was chief business officer for Dance Biopharm and led corporate and business development for other small pharma companies, including Theravance, Inhale/Nektar, and Onyx.
She has collaborated with a long roster of life science companies around the world, including GSK, Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Astellas, Asahi Kasei (Japan), Trudell (Canada), Vectura (UK), Transgene (France), Lee’s (China), Giddi (Taiwan), Harmony (Hong Kong). She has also signed intellectual property licenses with many leading academic institutions.
