Bio
Mr. Timothy Belski is the Joint Product Director for the Advanced Development and Manufacturing Capabilities (ADMC) within the Medical Countermeasure Systems Joint Project Management Office (MCS-JPMO) headquartered at Fort Detrick, Maryland. In this role, he leads a team to establish the Department of Defense’s dedicated capability that will rapidly develop and produce medical countermeasures to counter known or unknown chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. These threats include novel and previously unrecognized emerging infectious diseases that occur naturally. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Belski graduated from Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. He also earned a master’s degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University in 2006. Prior to joining the MCS office, Tim worked at the Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center (ECBC), Edgewood Area of the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, from 1995 through 2005. During this time, Tim operated Miniature Continuous Agent Monitoring Systems at Chemical agent storage facilities, was a key member of a research team in developing novel chemical agent detection systems, and provided low level chemical agent exposure reasrch in different animal models. Mr. Belski first joined the Chemical Biological Medical Systems (CBMS) JPMO in 2006 as a science manager, supporting drug development programs. In December 2009, Tim advanced to pharmaceutical manager for the Medical Identification and Treatment Systems product office within CBMS. In this role, he managed the cost, schedule, and performance of the advanced development of medical countermeasures for the treatment of nerve agent exposure. In November 2011 through June 2013, Tim was the Deputy Joint Project Manager for Medical Countermeasures Advanced Development and Manufacturing. Mr. Belski assumed his current role as the Joint Product Director, ADMC, in June 2013.
