Bio
Nicole Kilgore is the incoming Acting Joint Product Lead for the Platforms for Rapid Integrated Solutions for Medical Countermeasures (PRISM) product office within the Medical Countermeasures System Joint Project Management Office (MCS-JPMO) headquartered at Fort Detrick, Maryland. She provides the leadership and acquisition program management for the establishment of the PRISM program. PRISM increases medical countermeasures (MCM) development efficiency by applying platform technologies to accelerate MCM delivery to the Warfighter. By adapting a subset of the platform technologies, PRISM meets the ultimate goal of rapid response MCM capability to novel and emerging threats. These technologies close capability gaps, develop standardized processes to deliver MCM to the service member sooner, and ower the cost of employing a unique technology or each MCM. A native of Frederick, Maryland, Ms. Kilgore graduated summa cum laude from Mount Saint Mary’s College of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She also holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in Virology, from Hood College of Maryland. Ms. Kilgore is also a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University’s (DAU) Advanced Program Management course and completed the Army Management Staff College advance course. Nicole is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps and holds certification in Program Management (Level III) from the DAU. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).In January 2012, she advanced to the position of Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program (JVAP) Deputy Joint Product Manager; and she co-leads the Interagency Filovirus Animal Non-clinical Group (FANG). She provides the leadership and acquisition program management for the advanced development of five DoD Acquisition Category II vaccine products with the ultimate goal of FDA licensure and fielding to support the Warfighter against biological warfare agents.
