Solomon Wilcots career started as a defensive end on the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for four seasons with the Bengals (1987-90), one with the Vikings (1991) and finished six-year career with the Steelers (1992). Since retiring from the NFL Wilcots has worked as a sideline reporter at ESPN, a game analyst at CBS Sports, and a studio analyst at NFL Network. He joined Sirius XM Radio Inc. in 2005 and is co-host of Sirius Satellite Radio’s daily NFL show “The Opening Drive” with Bob Papa. Since 2014 he has served as an analyst for the Cleveland Browns preseason broadcasts.
Wilcots joined Russo Partners in 2017 as a Team Leader for the newly formed Sports-Health Division overseeing PR initiatives for many bio-membered companies. In June 2017, his contributions to the "Huddle Up For New Alzheimer's Treatments" earned Russo Partners the "Big Apple Award" which led to a record-setting enrollment of over 1,400 patients in 11 months for a clinical study led by Axovant Sciences. During his 2 years with Russo Partners, Wilcots has led initiatives to enroll patients in clinical trials, and he has created educational based video content to highlight innovative technologies and treatments for Bio Tech and Big Pharma. Along with his work at Russo Partners, Wilcots works as an NFL analyst for Sky Sports Broadcasting in the UK serving on their weekly PreGame show teaching American football to a rapidly growing fan base in the U.K.
He majored in English Literature and Journalism from the University of Colorado.
