Mr Pennisi is the CEO of the Australian industry representative group - Life Sciences Queensland Limited. Prior to moving into this role he has been the CEO of Queensland Clinical Trials Network Inc.
Having held a number of senior management roles, Mr Pennisi has more than 30 years of experience in managing and growing commercial operations in the life science industry. He is a Member on a number of committees and advisory groups, including the University of Queensland Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Faculty Board and Schools of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences Industry Advisory Board, Suncare, as well as a Government appointed Member serving on the QUT Council and is the Chairman of Griffith University’s Clinical Trials Advisory Committee. Mario has a keen interest in the role of innovation in economic development and was the inaugural convenor of the Innovation-20 (I-20) meeting which is held as a satellite event to the G-20/B-20 Meetings. Under Mario’s direction LSQ will host the inaugural Commonwealth Innovation Forum to coincide with the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
