Dr. Claudia Englbrecht is the director of public relations at the German Biotechnology Industry Association BIO Deutschland. In her capacity, she also is responsible for the program of Germany’s largest biotech event, the annual German Biotechnology Days, as well as the European Business Development Conference for Pharma and Biotech. After graduating in biology with a doctorate in molecular evolution, she worked for the American Museum of Natural History in New York as content manager for various formats on genomics. Following bioinformatics work at Helmholtz Center Munich, she taught genetics, cell biology and genomics as visiting assistant professor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Before joining BIO Deutschland, she supported the Communications Department of the Association of Biology, Biosciences and Biomedicine (VBIO) in Berlin.
