Thani Jambulingam Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing at St Joseph’s University, Erivan K. Haub School of Business, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Dr. Jambulingam teaches both in Executive Pharmaceutical MBA program and undergraduate program in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing. In the executive program Dr. Jambulingam teaches a course on R&D – Marketing Interface. Dr. Jambulingam served as the chair of the department for 8 years. He is trained at Harvard in case method for teaching. Dr. Jambulingam worked at Glaxo for several years in sales and marketing before his PhD at University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr Jambulingam’s research interests are in pharmaceutical and healthcare strategy and marketing. His work has been published in several refereed academic journals in marketing, management, economics and pharmacy. He has also published in practitioner journals including Pharmaceutical Executive. He has also served as a consultant and facilitated training sessions strategy for senior leadership and/or brand teams within several small, mid and large pharmaceutical firms including Alkermes, Abbott, Astra Zeneca, Merck, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Solvay and Procter & Gamble. In 2012 during his sabbatical Dr. Jambulingam was at Pfizer with the Prevenar Global Commercial Team contributing to development of Prevenar franchise positioning, healthy aging platform development, vaccine business strategy for emerging markets, pediatric expanded age strategy (life cycle management) and conducted strategy session for executive leadership within the specialty care division of Pfizer. Dr. Jambulingam is in the board of two startup biotechnology companies.
